The vessel, which blocked traffic along the Bosphorus due to an engine malfunction, was towed to the parking lot, Trend reports citing the General Directorate of Coastal Security on Saturday.

"With the assistance of the Directorate General of Coastal Security, the 134-meter KAPPA vessel, which had an engine failure, was safely towed."

Vessel traffic on the Bosphorus is open in both directions.

"The 147-meter KAPPA vessel, which was sailing from Ambarli to Novorossiysk, had an engine failure. Due to a breakdown, the movement of ships along the Bosphorus was suspended in both directions," General Directorate said.
