President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is well aware of the situation in Georgia, and his assessments in this context are extremely realistic, chairman of the parliamentary self-government committee of the neighboring country, Irakli Kadagishvili, told Report, commenting on the statements of the Azerbaijani leader made in an interview with Dmitry Kiselev, Director General of the “Rossiya Segodnya” International News Agency.

The parliamentarian noted that relations between Tbilisi and Baku are developing on the basis of strategic partnership and friendship, and these ties should be strengthened in the future. "Cooperation between the two countries should develop comprehensively. Azerbaijan and Georgia, as strategic partners and friends, should support each other. Our goal is to maintain stability and democracy in our states," said Kadagishvili.

He also noted the importance of properly assessing foreign interference, especially during elections, emphasizing its inadmissibility.

Irakli Kadagishvili noted that he considers President Ilham Aliyev's statements about the situation in Georgia to be objective and corresponding to the real situation: "President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is aware and well-informed about the situation in Georgia. His assessment certainly corresponds to the real situation. Mutual support is important for the further development of relations between countries. We must help each other's development and comprehensively strengthen these relations. In the future, strengthening these ties will be beneficial for both sides and will create conditions for developing strong partnership relations in international matters."
