Igor Khovayev, the special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on assistance to the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, is in Baku.

Axar.az reports that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said this.

He noted that on November 14, Khovayev visited Yerevan and held a number of consultations with the political leadership of Armenia.

"Now he is in Baku to meet with the Azerbaijani side. During these contacts, peace treaty issues are also discussed."

Regarding the statements made in Yerevan and Baku regarding the peace agreement, Zakharova said that the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is very difficult and sensitive, like other issues:

"We do not consider it appropriate to comment on the positions of the parties before reaching a concrete agreement."
