Flamingo Festival celebrates biodiversity in Azerbaijan's Gyzylagach National Park

The Gyzylagach National Park in Azerbaijan hosted a spectacular Flamingo Festival today.

According to Report, the event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in collaboration with the State Tourism Agency, aimed to promote tourism in Azerbaijan while highlighting the importance of biodiversity conservation.

Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov, along with other officials and tourists, attended the festival. Visitors had the chance to explore informational stands showcasing Azerbaijan's national parks, the impact of climate change on nature, and the current state of biodiversity. The event also featured boat rides and quad bike tours, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the park's natural wonders.

As part of the festival, approximately 200,000 carp fingerlings were released into the park's bay. The event concluded with musical performances and an entertaining program.
