An online session of the Steering Committee of the EU project to support Azerbaijan in demining is underway, head of the European Union (EU) mission in Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said on X, according to Report.

"Right now: Participating at the online Steering Committee of the EU project to support Azerbaijan in demining. Proud that EU support is saving lives of people in Azerbaijan, also of specific results: establishment of the first female deminers team, and involvement of the EU and Azerbaijan civil society: Links Europe, MAG, APOPO, IEPF," he said.

The diplomat also thanked ANAMA and UNDP for cooperation in implementation of the project.
